Mark is the founder of Going Out UK which was set up to help support local Pubs, Bars & Restaurants to Marketing their business in an effective, affordable & measurable way. Mark has 20 years experience working in Hospitality as well as owning & operating his own Pub in Newcastle.
Mark started his career working in Restaurants progressing into Hotels as a Trainee Hotel Manager for Devere working across all departments. Mark was offered a position with Hilton Hotels as Food & Beverage Manager working his way up to Operations Manager, before being asked to move to London working for Thistle Hotels managing Food & Beverage for a large 450 bedroom Hotel in the City Centre with multiple Restaurants & Bars & large Banqueting Facilities.
In 2007 Mark accepted a move to Dublin, Ireland as Deputy General Manager at The Morrison Hotel in Dublin (voted one of the top 10 coolest Hotels in the world) responsible for Food & Beverage. On returning to the UK Mark took on his own Pub in Newcastle before starting Going Out UK to help other licensees and venue owners market their businesses.
